Gaja Builds Website for HUT Organization, Dedicated to Healing and Educating Children in Need

The HUT (Human Uplift Trust) organisation recently launched its brand new website, courtesy of Gaja Digital Agency. Developed with Umbraco, an open-source CMS (Content Management System), the new HUT website boasts responsive features, meaning that it adapts to all screen formats. It displays an appealing contemporary design that incorporates the latest trends in terms of usability, providing all the relevant information about the organisation’s achievements and highlighting the need for donations. As a Franco-Canadian organisation present in India for over a decade, it is important for Gaja Digital to be active in its community and support the development of those in need.

The story of HUT started in 1983 when renowned professor A.V. Rajagopalan and his wife Renganayaki Rajagopalan founded the NGO in a small rural town of South India, on the premise that "Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world” and that it is the only way to break the vicious cycle of terrible poverty and inhuman labor. Today, the HUT school provides a world-class education to over 700 children. In 2005, the HUT team launched a community care hospital for AIDS patients, striving to deliver “compassionate and comprehensive health care, through a professional team, to the disadvantaged impoverished communities in rural India, and to provide comprehensive medical services to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA).” And in 2007, HUT founded House of Hope, a haven dedicated to “delivering high-quality free education to the historically under-served Dalit and AIDS-infected orphaned children.

Nowadays, the HUT team still believes that “every child, no matter what their background may be, should have the opportunity to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment with access to a good education.”

The French, the Canadian and the Indian staff of Gaja Digital, all living in Bangalore, are happy to work hand in hand with HUT to develop this new website and, by doing so support HUT’s efforts to offer a haven to children in need, as well as an opportunity to receive health services and an education.
